Rockville, New York, Baltimore, DC.
Now, Santa Cruz.
That’s right, West Coast, we have arrived. Today marks the official public announcement of our latest expansion, a new office located right outside of Silicon Valley in sunny California.
“Santa Cruz is a hotbed of creative talent, and we see tremendous opportunity for growth here,” said HZ’s CEO, Jerry Zuckerman. “That, combined with its proximity to world-class brands, makes it an attractive market for us.” Ted Holladay, most recently head of Studio Holladay, will lead the new space as vice president and creative director.
Holladay’s appointment marks a reunion for this executive and our agency. Prior to opening Studio Holladay in 2005, Ted worked as a creative director at our Rockville headquarters.
“Having worked at HZ already, I have the utmost respect for the company, its culture and its work,” said Holladay. “It is an honor to work with HZ again, and to have the opportunity to lead our first West Coast studio.”
A creative director and designer, Holladay has worked for an array of clients including Microsoft, Rambus, Robert Mondavi, Aveda and the Santa Cruz Redevelopment Agency.
“We’re thrilled about this expansion,” said Karen Zuckerman, Chief Creative Officer of HZ. “Santa Cruz attracts the type of people we love to hire – tech and design savvy, as at home on the beach as they are on ‘Silicon Beach.’”
The excitement surrounding HZ Santa Cruz is only beginning—stay tuned for more developments as this brand-new HZ space kicks off and kicks ass.
