Doing something new every day (And other reasons I love my job)

Maybe you read my last post. Maybe you didn’t. But if you didn’t – you should, and we’re in a fight until you do, so: Read it!

Now that everyone’s up to speed, you know that in my job search, I learned that I really didn’t want a boring 9-5 job. So I went and found myself a 9-6 job, that’s certainly the opposite of boring. You could say there are some advantages to monotony and repetition – I’m sure you’d be A+ at your job fairly quickly into it. You get into a rhythm, right?

Don’t get me wrong: This is not a knock of jobs that fall under that category. Plain and simple, it just wasn’t – and isn’t – for me. Granted, there’s some appeal in knowing what to expect. But I feel like it would be Groundhog Day, over and over again. Nope. I’ll pass.

Every day brings a new set of challenges. New projects. Ongoing projects. Different clients. Sure, there are similarities and a rhythm to the day-to-day as well. But it’s not static.

So, enough about that, I think you get the point. What else do I love?

The people

I work with passionate, fun, creative, and hard-working people. Plus, they are really, really cool. Don’t believe me? Just watch.

The work

We do really amazing things here. With clients that we consider true partners. Seriously, look at this.

The fun stuff

Happy hours, bar crawls, poker club, Hackathons, bowling club, BBQs… the list goes on and on. I mean, our holiday party was so cool that we had party crashers. Achievement unlocked.

Is your work as cool as mine? Maybe. Probably not. Maybe you should just come here!
