On the heels of HZ earning our status as a Google Premier Partner, we thought it might be a good time to explain what that actually means and how you can get certified yourself.
What Is a Google Partner?
Google Partners is the name of the program run by Google for advertising agencies (like HZ), consultants, and any professionals who manage Google AdWords accounts for clients. Achieving Partner status means that your company has:
- Demonstrated skills and expertise in AdWords, AdWords skill, and expertise
- Spent enough money on Google ads
- Delivered company, agency, and revenue growth for clients
- Sustained and grown your client base.
Meeting these requirements will get you a Standard Partner designation, while Premier Partners go above and beyond.
What’s So Premier About Premier?
Premier Partners are set apart by full certification in the Google AdWords suite. This requires Premier Partners to pass a set of six rigorous examinations offered by AdWords offers. Premier Partners must also meet higher success metrics for clients than Standard Partners, and maintain these metrics quarter over quarter. Google routinely reevaluates its Premier Partners to judge their qualification for this elite program.
What Does This Mean?
For our clients, this doesn’t change our day to day superior level of service. We’re excited to share our achievement with our clients and friends, both current and future. Becoming a Premier Partner has been a goal of the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) team for quite some time. It’s an accolade that proves our skills and results, but the real reward is moving the needle for our clients on a regular basis.
