Teams are people who make things.
The result is that thing.
In the past I focused on the result. Now I focus on the team.
Team is not only our team at HZDG, but everybody who contributes to making the result.
Focusing on the result doesn’t move things forward.
Most of the time, the team stops when the result is achieved and the the know-how collected inside the team gets lost.
I just went to a UX conference called Interaction 15 in San Francisco and was reminded about team vs result.
It is important to care about why and how something is made, not just what is made.
Here is a deck I prepared summarizing what I learned at the conference.
